From Defense Litigation to California Employee Advocacy
Jonathan Redford is a Partner at Hershey Law, where he helps lead the firm’s central litigation department. Before joining Hershey Law, Mr. Redford spent more than two decades on the defense side, including twenty years at Carpenter, Rothans & Dumont in Los Angeles, where he became a partner, followed by two years at Stone Dean in Woodland Hills.
During that time, he developed a strong understanding of how employers, companies, and defense teams approach litigation. He now applies that background to representing employees whose workplace rights have been violated.
Employment Litigation Experience for California Workers
Mr. Redford’s defense-side experience gives him valuable insight into case strategy, discovery, trial preparation, and the tactics employers may use during litigation. At Hershey Law, he uses that knowledge to help build strong, evidence-driven cases for California employees.
His work supports clients in employment matters involving retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and other workplace violations.
Legal Education and Law Review Background
Mr. Redford earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. He later earned his Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude, from Southwestern Law School.
