Jonny Hornberger is a partner and trial lawyer at Hershey Law where he leads the trial and litigation department. His primary areas of practice are employment law, personal injury, and wrongful death. Throughout his career, Jonny has been successful in recovering millions of dollars for his clients and is known for his zealous advocacy and commitment to fighting for his clients through every phase of the legal process.
In 2020 and 2021, Jonny was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine, a distinction awarded to less than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state.
Prior to joining Hershey Law, from 2016 to 2020, Jonny worked at Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley, one of the largest and most successful plaintiff’s personal injury firms in the country. At CZ&R, he was responsible for handling some of the firm’s most complex personal injury and wrongful death cases. Under the tutelage of Nick Rowley, Jonny gained first and second chair trial experience in both state and federal court.
Jonny graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University, where he was a two-sport athlete competing in both track and field and rugby. He earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School’s accelerated two-year program, where he was a member of the nationally award-winning Trial Advocacy Honors Program. At Southwestern, he earned semi-finalist honors at the ABA Labor and Employment Trial Advocacy Competition and clerked at the California Court of Appeal in downtown Los Angeles.
He is an active member of the California State Bar, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, and California Employment Lawyers Association.
In his free time, Jonny enjoys surfing, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
